Welcome to this bumper first newsletter for 2025. As our flagship Electoral Regulation Forum took place in December 2024 we decided to publish a combined newsletter for December 2024 and mid-year 2025. Here you will find our electoral vignette by Peter Brent – a fascinating historical account of John Lazar’s contribution to the development of Australian electoral law and practice – as well as updates on events, publications, and case law. You will also find a report and showcase of the Electoral Regulation Forum itself.
